Villa Orchidée

Renting a villa for a large group in Martinique

Travelling as a group of 10 or 14 means sharing the best moments without getting in each other's way. Before you book, check five things: a real bedroom for everyone, enough bathrooms, a kitchen up to the job, spaces to get away, and an outdoor area where everyone can gather.

Here are our tips, and what Villa Orchidée offers for group stays.

What really matters

  1. Bedrooms, not sofa beds. Count the closed, air-conditioned bedrooms, not just the advertised capacity.
  2. One bathroom for every two or three people. That's what avoids morning queues.
  3. A kitchen designed for 14. A large fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a big table are essential for meals at home.
  4. Space for everyone. A corner to work, one for the children, one to relax.
  5. The location. A secluded villa means peace and quiet; make sure it is still close to shops and main roads.
